Marina Müller McKenna was born in 1958 in Merseburg, East Germany. Already at the age of eight she began writing poetry. Later, some of her poems earned awards and were published in anthologies and radio broadcasts.
Years followed, in which the author mainly wrote and published journalistically. In addition, she co-wrote for the documentaries "Bullying and Abuse in the Church" (in German) and "Remembering the Future - A Meath Coast Miscellany" (in English).
After the fall of the Berlin Wall, the author – who professionally worked in the field of tourism – became for ten years a Member of Parliament in her home district of Berlin Köpenick.
Due to personal circumstances, she migrated to Ireland. After eleven years living there, she moved with her husband and her dog to Greece.
There she finally published her poems, and began to write down life memories. In addition, the author has finally turned to fiction. In 2017 she submitted her first novel. From 2019 this book, titled "Many Bridges - One River", will also be privately available in English language.
